The new indoor City of Round Rock Sports Center was developed to complement their existing outdoor venues and attract regional and national youth basketball, volleyball and indoor sports tournaments, competitions and public events. Built primarily with funds from the City’s Hotel Occupancy Tax, the City Convention and Visitors Bureau planned the new center as part of their “Sports Capital of Texas” tourism program. Marmon Mok utilized the site slope to create a high-impact view above the court, a top-down streamlined traffic flow and created a separate stairway to allow players and coaches to have immediate access to the floor minimizing interaction with the public. Our team also used cost-efficient tilt-wall construction and repurposed former warehouses for covered parking and a family picnic pavilion.
“The valuable benefit of your firm size, dedication to client service and close personal attention by principle firm members has been outstanding. Your Architect firm made us feel like we were a team and your most important client all the time.”
