Harlandale ISD saw the need for a major building addition and renovation for the 1,800-student high school, originally built in the early 1960’s. Transforming the campus, our team added a central courtyard as a spatial organizing element and created new pedestrian walkways and student assembly areas to bring a new life to the school. Improvements include a new cafeteria, classroom building, and administration renovation and infrastructure upgrades. Our team succeeded in improving environmental features and student amenities. The overall design of the campus affords a broad range of flexibility for multi-purpose opportunities such as school functions, community events, outdoor eating, pep-rallies, outdoor performances, etc. It also increased security and energy efficiency.
