Marmon Mok provided full Furniture Planning Services for the selection, procurement and installation of new furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) for the three-story, 165,000 SF South Texas Research Facility (STRF) at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Research to be carried out in the STRF will focus on translational research in scientific areas highly relevant to South Texas (e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, cancer biology, including molecular therapeutics, age related neurodegenerative disease and developing technologies to protect the nation from Bioterrorism). In addition to research areas and laboratories, the building includes offices, meeting rooms, lounge areas, and a lobby.
