Edgar Farrera Leads Austin Office

Join us in welcoming Edgar Farrera, NCARB, LEED AP to Marmon Mok as Associate Partner and Leader for our Austin office.

A firm believer in the power of design to enable positive change, Edgar serves as our Austin office leader. Leveraging 30 years of expertise in design, development, facility operations, and project management, Edgar guides teams and clients in crafting places and experiences that nurture people, elevate organizations, and strengthen communities.

From napkin sketch to build-out; Edgar brings curiosity, enthusiasm, and optimism to his work, and he focuses on listening to his clients to arrive at optimal solutions that meet their needs. From NATO to NASCAR to the Girl Scouts, he’s successfully applied this collaborative approach to building planning, experiential design, and facility operations.

Edgar’s passion for making things better extends to the natural world, and much of his career has been focused on advancing environmental stewardship and striving for harmony between the built world and nature. He frequently shares lessons learned from these efforts as a speaker at conferences and universities in the US, Latin America, and Europe. He’s championed these causes as chair for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce’s Clean Energy Council, as board member for the local chapter of the US Green Building Council, and on Austin’s Design Commission. Currently, he represents District 8 on the City of Austin’s Buildings and Standards Commission.

In his spare time Edgar enjoys conversations with friends and family, hiking, photography and exploring the natural beauty of the Big Bend region of Texas.
