We seek talented individuals for both our Austin and San Antonio locations. The preferred candidate(s) will have demonstrated architectural experience and be passionate about elevating people and communities through the thoughtful, beautiful, and impactful design of buildings!

Description:

Accomplished Architectural Designer, full-time, with 5 years of experience, minimum. Experience with commercial and civic projects is required. This position requires: a responsible individual who is passionate about design and the environment, who has strong design sensibilities, a strong work ethic, can work in a team, and maintain communications and expectations. You should have a strong design sensibility and appreciation for the design process, you should be informed about current design trends and and an understanding that architectural design is a collaborative process that occurs within a team.

Requirements:

  • Architecture program graduate from an accredited institution
  • Licensed Architect or near licensure
  • Creative, problem-solving mindset, and interest and passion for design
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about current design trends
  • Collaborative, proactive, curious, and professional
  • Experience with steel and concrete framed mid-rise commercial or civic buildings.
  • Previous experience working for a commercial architecture firm
  • Experience working on projects with construction budgets between $15M – $200M preferred
  • Software:
    • Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp fluency
    • Adobe (Photoshop), InDesign and Illustrator familiarity
    • Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) familiarity
    • Strong graphic abilities and design sense

    The following will be considered a plus:

    • LEED accreditation
    • Photography skills, including understanding of composition and lighting
    • Familiarity with parametric design software, such as Rhino and Grasshopper
    • Familiarity with 3D printing and small-scale fabrication
    • Experience with building quality physical models
    • Familiarity with AI visualization tools

 

Responsibilities:

Typical responsibilities will include supporting and/or assisting in the preparation of materials and drawings for schematic design, design development, contract documents, and marketing purposes. Researching various project related topics, communicating concepts via graphics, spreadsheets, or written narratives. Assisting with site analysis, programming space adjacencies, conceptual building layouts, and developing building concepts including architectural expression.
