Green School

Dr. John M. Folks Middle School, Northside ISD, has been approved for recognition from the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) as a ‘TX-CHPS Designed’ Facility. Some of the points that were targeted for this project include: Leadership, Education & Innovation; Sustainable Sites; Water; Energy; Materials & Waste Management; and Indoor Environmental Quality.

New Year, New Projects

Marmon Mok has recently been awarded new projects that will kick off in the New Year: the Northside ISD Sports Gym, Texas Tech Stadium Master Plan and the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts Parking Garage.

Window Display

Celebrating 60 years of architecture Marmon Mok installed a window front to thank our clients, teaming partners, families and friends. The display is located on E. Houston Street across the street from the Majestic Theater.
The installation will be up for viewing during the holidays and until the end of the year.
We would like to extend a warm thanks to our friends at Catto & Catto for allowing us to display in their window.

Celebrating 60 Years

To commemorate our 60th Anniversary, Marmon Mok Architecture held a scavenger hunt. The staff was split up into teams with a mission that led employees through downtown San Antonio photographing MM projects, gathering items . . . and getting into a little trouble—all in good clean fun. With unifying team elements, each team had a blast with the hunt and celebration at the finish line.

Newcomers

Marmon Mok has welcomed new employees Xavier Cantu, Mattie Cofer, Joel Fernandez, James Moore and Jennifer Parlett to the firm.

School is in Session

On the first day of school this year students, teachers and faculty in the Northside Independent School District were excited for the opening of the new Dr. John Folks Middle School. The Marmon Mok design is a two-story, 190,200 SF facility with sustainable elements in the Texas-Collaborative for High Performance Schools Certification program.
