Designed Donations for Chair-ity

A group of Marmon Mok designers were tasked to re-purpose chairs for the Chair-ity Gala benefiting Ronald McDonald House of San Antonio. The firm donated two sets for the silent auction:

  • An action packed kids table and chairs set that was decoupaged with favorite comic book heroes.
  • Vintage chairs that were reupholstered by Stephen McCune

Currently, Marmon Mok is designing a new Ronald McDonald House, to be located in the Medical Center, that will provide a “home-away-from-home” for families who must travel outside of their community to receive medical treatment at nearby medical facilities.

Tobin Center Finalist for ULI Awards

The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts is a Finalist for the Urban Land Institute 2016 Global Awards for Excellence. Since 1979, ULI has honored outstanding development projects in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors with the ULI Global Awards for Excellence program, which today is widely recognized as the development community’s most prestigious awards program. Winners will be announced in October.

Marmon Mok, in association with LMN Architects, provided architectural services for the renovation and expansion of the historic 1920’s era Municipal Auditorium into a “world class” performing arts center.

Marmon Mok Architecture | Design. Done.

Design. Done. It’s the gestation of an idea. A sketch or a scribble. The jotting down of a notion or a fleeting moment of inspiration-a murky, unformed possibility that came in a dream. Marmon and Mok had those dreams in the beginning and sixty three years later, we still do.
