Marmon Mok Architecture is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Preparing monthly invoices, budgets and project management reports.
Providing accurate and timely accounting, reporting and project information for assigned projects.
Setting up and maintaining projects on accounting system according to contract terms.
Tracking and inputting budget data for assigned projects.
Preparing and inputting project invoices.
Answering inquiries from staff, vendors or clients, and communicates financial information to project managers.

Assisting in the preparation of consultant agreements.  Reviewing with PM and partner in charge.
Maintaining accounting project files.
Tracking consultant invoices, communicating with consultants and submitting their invoices for payment.
Reviewing project contracts and additional service requests to understand the financial requirements on each project.
Meeting with Project Managers to review status of projects for invoicing.
Understanding how projects earn revenue in the accounting system and assisting the Business Manager monthly in analyzing and recording monthly project earnings and projections.

Providing accounting support to other staff as needed such accounts payable and payroll.

Other tasks as assigned by the business manager.

Required Skills:
Knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial-related reports.

Experience in client billing, client collections and project cost allocation.
Knowledge of project accounting concepts and practices.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proficiency in Deltek Vision or similar project accounting software required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2 plus years accounting experience; or an equivalent of education and experience required.
Accounting experience in an architecture firm and/or project accounting experience preferred.
