Alamodome Illusions Theater

The Alamodome has a seating capacity of 65,000. The City of San Antonio wanted the ability to host smaller events in the Alamodome in a more intimate setting. Our team came up with an innovative solution creating a flexible, multipurpose venue that can be erected on an event basis within the Alamodome.

The design concept for the theater is to create the perception or “illusion” that it is a totally different venue in both size and character with strategic lighting, retractable fabric walls and ceiling panels. The innovative solution provides a flexible, multipurpose venue which can be erected quickly on an event basis and is used for smaller concerts, performances, meetings and commencement ceremonies.
