Methodist Hospital Mother Baby Expansion
The Methodist Hospital Mother Baby Expansion project focused on enhancing the comfort and functionality of instrumental spaces within the postpartum unit, providing a nurturing environment that supports the well-being of new mothers, their families, and the dedicated staff. This comprehensive renovation/expansion aimed to transform the unit into a space that promotes healing and tranquility.
Nine postpartum rooms were reimagined, each thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse needs of patients and their families. Among these is a specially ADA-designed suite for isolation, ensuring that all patients have access to a comfortable and supportive environment. The nurse station, conference room, and connecting corridors were all refreshed to create a more welcoming and cohesive atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience for everyone who enters the space.
The space is adorned with uplifting colors and finishes, while the redesigned headwalls offer a timeless aesthetic promoting calm for new mothers. In the conference room, wood-look ceilings add a touch of warmth and elegance, creating a serene environment for meetings and discussions. Carefully selected furniture seamlessly integrates with the design, enhancing comfort and visual appeal for patients and staff alike. New lighting fixtures bathe the unit with an improved ambiance, providing the ideal balance of functionality and warmth.
During the renovation, we carefully considered every detail to create a space that is both beautiful and functional. We selected materials and arranged the furniture to contribute to a healing environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of patients and staff.
