The purpose of this facility is to provide flight training to international pilots for both the T-38 and the F-35 fighter jets. The facility includes an auditorium, classrooms, administrative offices, staff offices, mechanical/electrical/janitor/communications spaces, and a barber shop. Project scope also included HVAC, mechanical, electrical, communications and site work consisting of all utilities, grading, paving, sidewalks, demolition of an existing sanitary sewer line, and antiterrorism and force protection measures. The majority of the 33-acre site is within a 100-year flood plain, which was addressed during design. This project has been certified LEED Silver.
