As the designers of the original Texas A&M University Recreation Center almost 20 years ago, Marmon Mok was commissioned in early 2013 to design a major renovation and complex expansion to accommodate growth of the campus and enhance the A&M student experience. Our design includes a new double basketball court/soccer gymnasium, a weight room expansion doubling its existing size, an eight lane 25 yard lap pool, a banquet hall and a large outdoor plaza with direct views to the varsity baseball field and stadium. Each of the new spaces will employ sustainable features such as natural day lighting and views, water collection systems and energy-efficient design.
