The University Health Women’s and Children’s Pediatric Heart Center is an innovative facility for pediatric cardiac care. It is designed to focus on flexibility, future expansion, and patient-centered design. The center includes three echocardiogram exam rooms equipped with the latest imaging technology for precise and non-invasive heart diagnostics for children. It also features a versatile hybrid catheterization lab that supports diagnostic and interventional procedures, allowing for a seamless transition between imaging and treatment. Additionally, there is a shell space that can accommodate five additional special procedure rooms as the program grows.

The holding area and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) are sized to support the full build-out of the shell space to ensure optimal patient flow and care quality as the center expands. The Pediatric Heart Center also has strategic connection points with the adjacent Advanced Diagnostic Center to provide secure and streamlined access for medical staff and critical support services.

Overall, the Women’s and Children’s Pediatric Heart Center is a visionary space that prioritizes adaptability, connectivity, and patient experience. It integrates cutting-edge technology with compassionate care to provide hope and healing for children with heart conditions and their families.
