This 45,000 SF Student Union is located on the southwest corner of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley – Edinburg campus. The project is sited between the cafeteria/ballroom and campus chapel. A covered walkway defines the south edge of the new exterior dining area of the building, while a large open green space or quadrangle defines the north boundary of the facility. At the heart of the Student Union is the Commons.

The two-story multi-purpose space serves as the main entrance and receiving area. The food court, 500-seat auditorium, two-level game room, and convenience store are accessible from the Commons. A grand stair and elevator connect the Commons to the second floor, which houses the administrative offices, conference center, study rooms, and the second level game room.
