We seek talented individuals for both our Austin and San Antonio locations. The preferred candidate(s) will be passionate about elevating people and communities through the thoughtful, beautiful, and impactful design of buildings!

Description:

Architectural Student Intern for Fall 2023 / Spring 2024 Academic year. Role is on an hourly basis, part-time, and is not eligible for benefits. The majority of this role will be in office (Austin: East 6^th St, San Antonio: Loop 410 near Broadway)

Requirements:

• Architecture, Urban Design, or Interior Design student at an accredited institution
• Enrollment at an Austin area or San Antonio area institution
• Creative, problem-solving mindset, and interest and passion for design
• Passionate and knowledgeable about current design trends
• Collaborative, proactive, curious, and professional
• Strong graphic abilities and design sense
• Familiarity with the following software:
  • Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp
  • Adobe (Photoshop), InDesign and Illustrator
  • Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)

The following will be considered a plus:

• Photography skills, including understanding of composition and lighting
• Familiarity with parametric design software, such as Rhino and Grasshopper
• Familiarity w 3d printing and small-scale fabrication
• Experience with building quality physical models

Responsibilities:

Typical responsibilities will include supporting and/or assisting in the preparation of materials and drawings for schematic design, design development, contract documents, and marketing purposes. Researching various project related topics, communicating concepts via graphics, spreadsheets, or written narratives. Assisting with site analysis, programming space adjacencies, conceptual building layouts, and developing building concepts including architectural expression. Attending meetings, preparing and distributing notes, and preparing photo-documentation of work-sessions.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Sponsorship for an employment visa, such as an H1-B visa, is not available.
• This role is primarily in-office, with a limited ability to work from home per company policy.
