Monty Howard and James Moore present at CEFPI Regional Conference

This week Monty Howard, Associate Partner, and James Moore, Project Manager, led educational sessions titled “Innovate, Sustain and Deliver Historic Design Projects on Historic Campuses in Historic, Urban Neighborhoods” and “BIM Execution Plans and AIA BIM Exhibits – What it Means to Owners and How These Agreements Can Help Facilitate Collaboration and Accountability” with our clients for the Council of Education Facility Planners International Southern Regional Conference held in San Antonio.

In the educational session “Innovate, Sustain and Deliver Historic Design Projects on Historic Campuses in Historic, Urban Neighborhoods”, a panel discussed case studies of redeveloping two existing historic facilities. The panel included different key perspectives from Monty Howard, Associate Partner, Marmon Mok; Kamal El Habr, Associate Superintendent, San Antonio Independent School District; and Don Aird, Project Manager, San Antonio Independent School District.

In the second session, “BIM Execution Plans and AIA BIM Exhibits – What it Means to Owners and How These Agreements Can Help Facilitate Collaboration and Accountability”, the panel focused on the different BIM agreements available for Owners to use on their projects, and the benefits of using those agreements. The panel included key perspectives from James Moore, Project Manager, Marmon Mok; Anand Gajbhiye, BIM Manager, Joeris Construction; and Jorge Cabello, Senior Director for Construction Planning and Design, North East Independent School District.
