This project is the addition of a new three-story residence wing and renovation to the Centennial Village Residence Hall. The 46,000 square foot addition houses 156 students in two and four bedroom suites along with resident director rooms. Each suite contains private bedrooms, two bathrooms in the 4 person suites and one bathroom in the 2 person suites, and a kitchenette. The four-person suite also has a common living area. The project includes tying into existing utilities and services, including electrical, plumbing, and security, the fire alarm system is linked together and the fire service was increased to incorporate the sprinkler system for the new building. The new building connects and utilizes an existing stair and elevator and has a new stair tower to complement the existing architecture. The connection element provides an opportunity for the University to represent a gateway on what is currently the western edge of campus.
