The Partners of Marmon Mok Architecture are delighted to announce the promotion of Edgar Farrera, AIA, to Partner. With a career spanning over three decades and a profound belief in the transformative power of design, Edgar has been a guiding force at Marmon Mok.
As the leader of the Austin office, he skillfully combines his knowledge in design, development, facility operations, and project management to craft places that elevate organizations and strengthen communities. Curious, enthusiastic, and optimistic by nature, Edgar thrives in being an advocate for his clients.
Edgar Joined Marmon Mok in 2001, was named Sustainability Director in 2007, and Associate Partner in 2021. Notable past projects include the Tobin Performing Arts Center, Parman Library, and the Girl Scouts of the Southwest Headquarters. He is a key contributor to many of the firms’ current efforts in Central Texas, including the Texas DMV Headquarters, the New Williamson County Administration Building, and the City of Pflugerville Public Works facility. Mr. Farrera also serves as Partner-in-Charge for many of the firms’ Recreation and Sports projects, including the current expansion of the Round Rock Sports Center.
Edgar received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a registered Architect in Texas and Wisconsin, holds an NCARB certificate, and is a LEED Accredited Professional with Specialty. Mr. Farrera’s dedication to community service is demonstrated by his past service on the City of Austin’s Airport Advisory Board, Design Commission, and Buildings and Standards Commission.
