Rivard Report Highlights Steve Souter's Legacy Award

Tuesday night at AIA San Antonio’s People + Place Awards, Steve Souter received the Legacy Award, the chapter’s highest honor. Moderator Robert Rivard summed up Souter’s legacy: “For 48 years, Steve Souter has been a wise and humble architect of uncompromising integrity. Dedicated on September 10, Marmon Mok, in Joint Venture with Kahler Slater, designed a state-of-the-art dental clinic facility to improve dental education and training, and sustain the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School’s top-tier ranking. Medal of Honor River Portal

Designed by Marmon Mok and Rialto Studios Landscape Architects, the plaza serves as an urban park, multi-function plaza and memorial creating a new link between the San Antonio Riverwalk and the city’s Veterans Memorial Plaza. Memorials honor service members with ties to San Antonio who received our country’s highest military award — the Congressional Medal of Honor.
