Renovations of the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital were completed in multiple phases to minimize disruption to ongoing hospital operations. The Hospital’s Main Entrance and Lobby was an integral part of the renovations. This extremely active and busy area included both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The VA Prosthetics department provides comprehensive support with advanced medical devices for veterans to encourage health and independence. Replacement of electrical and mechanical systems serving the prosthetics department was performed. Plans also included removal of the old hospital therapy swimming pool and replacement with two package therapy pools as well as replacement of the prosthetics lab.
