Seton Home is the only licensed residential facility in South Texas – and one of only a handful across the country– for pregnant or parenting teens that have chosen to keep and care for their babies. The design of the new buildings conveys a strong residential, deinstitutionalized character. Clerestory windows in raised roof areas along the central corridor provide a warm, bright feeling to the interior spaces. Warm colors and the exposed wood truss structure in the dining room and public spaces help further de-institutionalize the living unit. The residential character, and feeling of safety and hope support and convey the mission of Seton Home.
