Founded in 1975, the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance’s mission is “Saving lives through the power of organ donations.”  TOSA serves more than seven million people across three regions, covering 56 counties in Central and South Texas.  They work with six transplant Centers and more than 120 Hospitals within Texas.

Marmon Mok provided the design for TOSA’s new 28,000 square foot corporate headquarters on 3.6 acres within the San Antonio Medical Center. The program provided a facility which includes: Executive Offices and Board Room, Departments for Communications, Clinical Operations, Donor Family Services, and Support Services.  The program also includes a multi-purpose, 250 seat Events Center.

One of the unique features of the facility is the Memorial Garden to honor donors and their families.  The garden provides a tranquil, landscaped setting and is accessible from the building’s entrance and Event Center.  The garden’s oval shape is defined by corten steel walls which provides a backdrop for more than 6,000 donor names.
