SWISD Natatorium

This Natatorium is a full-service community and athletic swimming and diving facility. The centerpiece is a versatile 50-meter pool that can be configured for multiple uses, alongside a four-lane instructional pool, supporting swimming lessons, community swim programs, and competitive events for all grade levels. The facility also houses the District Athletics Administration, varsity locker rooms, a strength training room, and a multi-purpose classroom, providing a comprehensive environment for developing both swimming and diving athletes.
The natatorium is naturally ventilated and features extensive daylighting to reduce energy consumption and operating costs. Pool tanks are constructed with Myrtha pre-manufactured walls and liners to ensure crystal clear water and competitive performance. Spectator seating accommodates 720 upper-level guests with additional seating on the pool deck. Enhanced video technology supports event scoring, video playback, and special event displays.
This project was delivered at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when material shortages and supply chain delays affected every discipline. The team overcame these challenges through transparent communication, identifying and securing approval for alternative products early and releasing critical items in advance. Our strategic adjustments during these challenges kept the project on schedule without compromising quality or long-term performance.
